We can’t read minds, but we spent ample time trying to understand our clients’ needs and desires for their spaces. 
Attic spaces are often not the best space in the house, but with careful planning and design they can be. The transformation of a Somerville attic turned an underutilized, dim space into a light-filled principal suite with plenty of storage space tucked under the eaves where space is often lost. A little extra space was captured over the stairs for a linen closet that leads into a bathroom just the right size for the house. Careful initial evaluation to accommodate restrictive zoning so that the project could remain by-right, made for a smoother, shorter permit application process without a lengthy Special Permit hearing.
Sometimes the additional constraints like small spaces or sloped ceilings force a little extra creativity. Damon was so good about returning our calls and explaining things to us. We no longer have a rat infested attic, but a beautiful 3rd floor suite that brings a smile to everyone’s face immediately!
